What is the Secrets Shhh Jewellery Care Plan

We want you to always love your jewellery so we offer you our Secrets Shhh Jewellery Care Plan, to help keep your jewellery looking amazing. Our plans come in five (5) or ten (10) years and we offer the following services so you can choose the plan that suits you.

Services provided under the plan include:

  • Ring sizing
    (up to 2 sizes, maximum once every 12 months from the first anniversary of the purchase date)
  • Unlimited jewellery cleaning and inspections 
  • Polishing and refinishing
  • Rhodium plating white gold
  • Stone tightening
  • Earring repairs: tightening or adjusting fittings, posts and butterflies
  • Chain and bracelet soldering
  • Clasp tightening, adjustment, repair or replacement
  • Re-setting gemstones
  • Tennis bracelet soldering, clasp tightening and adjustment

We recommend you bring your jewellery into a store every 6 months, for a clean and inspection. Simply call into one of our stores next time you are shopping and let us know your membership number then we will take care of the rest.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

These terms and conditions apply when you purchase the Secrets Shhh Jewellery Care Plan (Terms and Conditions). By purchasing this Care Plan, you acknowledge that you are entering into a contract with Secrets Shhh Pty Ltd ACN 617 804 332, that you have read these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. When purchasing this Care Plan, you will automatically become a member of our customer membership program as this Care Plan will be linked to your membership.

What is covered under the Plan:

This Care Plan covers:

  1. Parts and labour costs for the defined services on the Covered Item specified above, up to the value of the original purchase price of the Covered Item. A separate Care Plan must be taken out for each item to be covered under it;
  2. Ring sizing (up to 2 sizes; maximum once every 12 months from the first anniversary of the purchase date - note this does not cover re-shanking of rings and certain styles of ring are not suitable for resizing and so are excluded from the plan – see below at “What is not covered?”);
  3. Jewellery cleaning and inspections;
  4. Professional polishing and refinishing in our workshop;
  5. Rhodium plating of white gold (limited to once every 12 months);
  6. Stone tightening;
  7. Earring repairs to posts, fittings and tightening or adjusting butterflies;
  8. Chain and bracelet repairs including soldering and clasp repair or replacement;
  9. Resetting gemstones (unless the setting is worn or damaged beyond repair);
  10. Repairs to tennis bracelets;
  11. Soldering links and repairing clasps.

What is not covered:

This Care Plan does not cover anything not expressly stated above as being covered. For the avoidance of doubt, and without limitation, the following are not covered (as determined by Secrets Shhh in its absolute discretion):

  1. Incidental or consequential damages or cosmetic damage from normal wear and tear;
  2. Damage from accident, abuse, misuse, introduction of foreign objects into the product, tampering with prongs, unauthorised modifications or alterations, or failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions;
  3. Correcting unauthorised repairs and/or parts;
  4. Damage covered by any other warranty or service plan;
  5. Except as expressly stated in this Care Plan, cosmetic damage including scratches, peelings, dents that do not impede the mechanical functionality of the item;
  6. Third-party actions (fire, collision, vandalism, theft, etc);
  7. The elements or Acts of God;
  8. Any ring soldered to another ring is not covered under this plan;
  9. War, invasion or act of foreign enemy, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, riot, strike, labour disturbance, lockout, civil commotion or pandemic;
  10. Except as expressly stated in this Care Plan, preventative maintenance; 
  11. Ring sizing does not cover re-shanking of rings. Please note: certain styles of rings are not suitable for resizing (which are excluded from the resizing service under this Care Plan). These include, without limitation, all-rounder rings and full round stone set eternity rings, tungsten, stainless steel, zirconium, matt, satin or brush finished or continuous all round two tone, tri tone or any other rings we consider are not suitable for resizing.
  12. Loss of parts of the Covered Item;
  13. Any loss other than those expressly stated in this Care Plan (including earring butterflies);
  14. Accessories used in conjunction with a Covered Item;
  15. Loss of use or any other damages (including consequential damages) during the period the Covered Item is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts.
    This Care Plan is not an insurance policy - it does not cover the Covered Item for loss, theft or replacement.
    This is not an extended manufacturer’s warranty. This Care Plan is comprised of, and limited to, specific services made available under this Care Plan to the customer for the life of the plan.
  16. All policies are non-transferable or able to be on-sold. The policy holder is the only person able to request services on the item.

How do I obtain Services under the Plan?

Please retain this Care Plan and your original sales receipts for the Covered Item and keep in a safe location as you will need to produce them at the time of requesting the Service.

To request a service, you should contact [email protected] or your local store and ensure you have your receipt and copy of the correct plan.

Secrets Shhh’s obligations under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

The Services provided under this Care Plan in no way limit your existing rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Term of Coverage

This Care Plan begins on the date that you purchase this Care Plan and continues until either 5 years or 10 years after the purchase date of this Care Plan (depending on which Care Plan you purchase), or until the aggregated value of the Services you receive under this Care Plan is equal to the price that you paid for the Covered Item, whichever happens first.

Care Plans cannot be purchased in respect of any items purchased more than 30 days beforehand.

At the end of the term and at your request, Secrets Shhh may, but is not obliged to, enter into a further Care Plan in respect of the Covered Item.

Cancellation

You may cancel and obtain a full refund of the purchase price of this Care Plan within 30 days of purchase of this Care Plan, provided that you have not claimed any Services under this Care Plan.

No refunds of all or any of the cost of this Care Plan will be made after the end of this 30 day period.

Value of Services

The value that you receive for each of the Services specified under this Care Plan will be determined by the then-current price for that Service, as set by Secrets Shhh. We may change Service prices, at our discretion, without notifying you. The value of the services covered under the care plan is limited to the price paid for the piece of jewellery the plan covers. 

Limitation of liability

Secrets Shhh’s total aggregate liability under or in relation to this Care Plan is the purchase price of the Covered Item. This means that if the total value of all authorised Services under this Care Plan is equal to or more than the purchase price of the Covered Item, then we will have met all our obligations under this Care Plan and no further claims can be made under this Care Plan and this Care Plan will be at an end.
